I love to see a star-studded film with up and coming actors like Xavier Samuel (who I may or may not think is the most good looking thang walking the Earth today). This film was well done to say the least. I don’t usually like violent war scenes, but this film did it in such a disgustingly violent and seemingly authentic way, I enjoyed every second. The writer and director also did great in balancing graphic warfare and death with touching and meaningful dialogue between Wardaddy’s five-man crew inside a Sherman tank.
Some of my favorite scenes were in Norman’s initiation into the crew and Boyd’s preaching. A film that shows the suffering and life-changing experiences most soldiers went through in bloody World War II. Action-packed, emotion-filled, and no doubt memorable.
